DATE:
The Krieger Show will be May 21, 2023. The show date has been moved to May for two reasons:
(1) to get away from the August heat on black asphalt.
(2) to be the first Mustang show in the State of Ohio.
We are hopeful that May will provide cooler and more comfortable temperatures.
DETAILS WHAT TO LOOK FOR:
1.Tent, Tables and Chairs:
Several changes were made for the 2022 show. Again for 2023 we will have a tent with table and chairs to allow the show participants and attendees to get out of the sun and to provide a place for people to sit down to eat.
2.Schmidt’s Food Truck & Additional Food Options:
Speaking of eating, the Schmidt’s Sausage Truck will once again be at the show in 2023. We experimented the last 2 years with the Schmidt’s Truck, and we received rave reviews about this feature. So, we are bringing the Schmidt’s Food Truck back for the 2023 Krieger Show.
3.Speed Zone Ford Merchandise Trailer
The club was successful in booking the Speed Zone Ford Merchandise Trailer for the Krieger Show in 2022 and will be back again for 2023. The Speed Zone trailer is at various major Ford events such as the Barrett Jackson auctions, the Carlisle Show, Ponies in the Smokies, the Woodward Dream Cruise-in and MCA Shows.
It will have the same fantastic Ford merchandise (375 items) that is offered at major shows throughout the United States.
4.Ford Cars and Trucks:
We have added Ford branded and powered cars for the 2021, 2022 & again for the 2023 show. After having Ford cars at the 2021 show, we had requests to add Ford Trucks to the 2022 show to which we did increasing interest and attendance for those classes. For 2023 we will be adding a 2000-2022 Truck class along with a revamping of the Mustang Classes for better class management & judging capabilities of our club.
5.Youth Program:
To develop the next generation of Mustang and Ford enthusiasts, a Youth Program was initiated for the 2022 show. For 2023 look for improvements and enhancements to our youth program.
● Coloring Pages and Crayons
Packets containing a box of crayons and coloring pages featuring Mustangs, Ford cars and Ford trucks will be available to be distributed to the very young future Mustang enthusiasts.
● Model Car/Truck Contest
We will have a model car/truck contest in which our youth (boys and girls) ages 6 to 15 can purchase and assemble a model car/truck kit and bring it to the show to be judged. The models must be plastic or metal, no more than 9” long of either a Mustang, Ford car or Ford truck, and the kits are to cost no more than $25. This will be a judged event with awards being given out.
The classes will be:
Class A – 6-under
Class B – 7,8,9
Class C – 10,11,12
Class D - 13,14,15
Pre-registration is required by April 30, 2023, for this event. There will be NO registration May 1st or after nor will there be Day-of-Show registration for the model car/truck competition. Go to the MCO Website (www.mustangclubofohio.org) to register. Look for the 2023 Krieger Show Tab (located in the black banner under the blue Mustang). Then select the “Kids Model Show Registration Here” button in the center and follow the prompts to complete the registration. There is no registration fee to enter the Model Car/Truck Contest.
● Balloon Artist
Erica Carlson, a balloon artist, will entertain the youth during the period of Noon to 3PM. She will fashion balloon sculptures of cartoon characters, animals and many other designs which she will give the kids.
Additionally, she will have temporary Ford inspired tattoos that can be applied for both the youth and adults in attendance at the show at NO charge.
6. Goodies Bags:
Goodie bags will be distributed to the 1st (100) pre-registered attendees pre-registered prior to April 30, 2023. You will not want to miss out on our Goodie Bags for 2023. Anyone registered after the 1st (100) will not be provided a goodie bag, nor will any bags be provided of any Day-of Show registrations.
REGISTRATION:
Pre-registration will be open through April 30, 2023, will be $20. Registration May 1st and after as well as at the show will be $25. Go to the MCO Website (www.mustangclubofohio.org) to register. Look for the 2023 Krieger Show Tab (located in the black banner under the blue Mustang). Then select the “Car Show Registration Here” button on the left side and follow the prompts to complete the registration. Day-of Show registration will be during the period of 8AM to 11:00AM. Registration will close at 11:00AM SHARP. Cars in line prior to 11:00AM will be judged.
Cars arriving after 11:00AM will be registered as “Display Only” and will not be judged – even if they are pre-registered.
AWARDS:
The Awards Ceremony will be held at approximately 4PM.
100 Class Awards / Plus some specialty awards will be presented.
** Award recipients must be present to win. Awards will not be mailed to recipients who are not present at the Awards Ceremony.
** We have had several close encounters of vehicles (leaving the show) with people at the Awards Ceremony. out of concern for the safety of the people at the awards
ceremony, no vehicles will be allowed to leave during the awards ceremony.
No tents, alcohol or firearms will be permitted at the show. The Mustang Club of Ohio and Krieger Ford are not responsible for accidents or property damage.
